Andrew Hardaway

Schon während seines Studiums an dem angesehenen
Southern California Institute of Architecture arbeitete Andrew
als Life Action Regisseur und brachte sich selbst alles
über Computeranimation bei. Nach vier Jahren als Digital
Artist bei Industrial Light und Magic, wo er an Projekten wie
"Star Wars" und "Men in Black" arbeitete, kehrte er als
Feature Effects Supervisor und 2nd Unit Feature Director
nach LA zurück. Sogar schon während seiner
Zusammenarbeit mit David Fincher, John Frankenheim,
Ang Lee und Mike Nichols schrieb er eine Reihe postlastiger
Spots bei denen er auch Regie führte - Geschichten die
ohne Special Effects einfach nicht erzählt hätten werden
können.
Andrew Hardaway ist heute bekannt für seine ungewöhnlich
starken und einprägsamen Bilder, deren einzigartige Textur
und sein Gespür für die Komposition von Licht und Ton, die
den Medium Film und der treibenden Rolle der Kreativität
vollste Rechnung tragen.

While studying at the prestigious Southern California Insitute
of Architecture in LA, Andrew already worked as a live
action director and teached himselfe computer animation.
After four years as digital artist at Industrial Light and Magic,
working on everything from "Star Wars" to "Men in Black"
Andrew returned to LA as feature effects supervisor and
2nd unit feature director. Even while working with David
Fincher, John Frankenheim, Ang Lee and Mike Nichols,
Andrew wrote and directed a series of effect oriented spots,
telling stories that simply would not exist without the use of
digital effects.
Andrew is now known for crafting unusually strong and
memorable images. His careful and prudent use of light,
tone and composition speak of a true appreciation of cinema
and the importance of creative concept and intention.
