Vesa Manninen

Vesa, geboren in den Siebzigern, wuchs neben einem Kino in
einer kleinen Stadt in Raahe, Nordfinnland, auf. Während er jeden
Film ansah den er in die Finger bekommen konnte, versank er
immer tiefer in die Welt des Filmens. Bald schon wurde es ihm zu
langweilig Comics zu zeichnen und er stahl sich eine 8mm
Filmkamera. Er studierte klassische Filmregie, Kinematographie
und Drehbuch und startete seine Karriere als Regisseur in einer
Post Production Company.
Seit 2000 arbeitet er als Werbefilmregisseur. Anfangs vor allem
für "Low Buget“ - Werbungen, Music-Videos, Kurzfilme und Post
Production Projekte.
Man könnte sagen, er ist ein klassischer Regisseur, hat jedoch ein
breit gefächertes Wissen über die technischen Seiten des
Filmemachens.
Heutzutage arbeitet er international für Kunden, die qualitativ
hochwertige Werbung mit Spielfilmcharakter wünschen.

Vesa Manninen

Vesa was born in the 70ies and raised in a bucket next to a
cinema theater in a small town of Raahe, North of Finland. While
watching every film he could get his hands on, he started to get
deeper into the world of film making. Soon he got bored of drawing
comics and stole a 8mm film camera. After studying classical Film
Directing, Cinematography and Writing for 5 years in Film Schools,
he started his professional career as a Film Director in a Post
Production Company.
He has been working as a TVC Director since 2000. In the
beginning there were mostly low buget commercials, music videos,
short films and post production projects - but always with an
ambition. You could say he is a classical Film Director with a wide
knowledge of the technical parts of film making. Nowadays he
works as an international Film Director for clients who have a
ambition for quality and who desire cinematic approach for their
projects.
