Marco Kreuzpaintner

1977 in Rosenheim geboren, studierte Marco Kreuzpaintner
Kunstgeschichte in Salzburg. Das Filmhandwerk erlernte er
während diverser Jobs für Film-, Werbe- und Musikvideo-
produktionen. Nachdem er Assistent von Peter Lilienthal und
ab 1998 von Edgar Reitz war, übernahm er 1999 die deutsche
Synchronassistenz für Stanley Kubriks "Eyes Wide Shut".
Im gleichen Jahr erregte sein erster Kurzfilm
"Entering Reality" Aufmerksamkeit bei diversen Festivals.
Es folgten mehrere oft nominierte Kurzfilme, bis 2003 sein
erster Spielfilm "Ganz oder gar" in die deutschen Kinos kam.
2004 folgte die Komödie "Sommersturm" und 2006 das
Drehbuch zur Verfilmung des Jugendbuches "Die Wolke".
2007 setzte Marco mit "Trade - Willkommen in Amerika" in
Zusammenarbeit mit Roland Emmerich internationale Zeichen.
Zudem wird er 2008 mit der Verfilmung von "Krabat" in die
Kinos kommen.

Marco Kreuzpaintner

Bron in 1977 in Rosenheim, Germany, he later studied
History of Arts in Salzburg. While working on various jobs
in Film-, Advertising- and Music-video production, he build
up his skills.
After beiing the assistant to Peter Lilienthal and, from
1998, to Edgar Reitz, he became the Asstant Synch
Director on Stnley Kubrick's "Eyes Wide Shut" in 1990.
In the same year, his first short feature "Entering Reality"
cought the public eye on various festivals.
Numerous nominated short features followed until his first
feature film "Ganz und Gar" hit the German theatres in 2003,
followed by the comedy feature "Sommersturm" in 2004 and
the screenplay for the well known juvenile book "Die Wolke"
in 2006.
In 2007, Marco entered the global market in cooperation
with Roland Emmerich with his internationally hounoured
feature film "Trade - Welcome to America".
In 2008, his new feature "Krabat" will enter the cinemas.
